Ever since its establishment in 1986, CECOS University has shaped the bright futures of over 40K+ students by allowing them to excel in fields as diverse as Business Studies, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Architecture and Health Sciences.

The story of the genesis of this University and its evolution through various stages started in the year 1986 when Engr. Muhammad Tanveer Javed established at Peshawar a small private sector institution, CECOS Data Institute, with only five computers and very few students. Later, this institute got affiliated with the Peshawar University, becoming the premier college to offer postgraduate courses in Computer Science; and with the University of London for certain computer courses. Today, it has on its roll, over three thousand students.

The stage is now set for this progressive institution to further diversify its offerings, and through their unmatched expertise in the field of education, facilitate the academic development of the youngest segments of society. CECOS University, through its initiative of The Edex School, is to usher in a revolution of private schooling in Peshawar.
